White on black for me too.
I glue my turrets down as I play rules that do not require them to be turned.

Re: Activation

I guess it works for that but it would not work so well for a squad that has been 'running' for 2 turns to get across some open ground and taking enemy fire all the way, then suddenly stops and stands up in the open to be shot at (they failed their roll), checking orders in that situation seems irre...

Re: Activation

I agree, otherwise having super elite units that find it easy to activate lose their eliteness. I think on guard is enough, but maybe go to ground also. Much I think depends on narrative and why they failed to activate. In my games when a unit fails to activate I invent story reasons such as: Sarge ...

Hiya. 1: That is how I understand it. However I do not use that rule. Seems daft to me. You could say have an 8FP tank gun hit a single figure for 5 hits, the single figure fails 2 saves and takes 3 hits. But does not die? Simply suppressing the target so that a pistol shot from another bout of fire...

Do what you think best then sir. There is only one rule of FUBAR, there are no rules! :D BTW: I view cover as a way of hampering LOS. Hence the better shooter the more likely they would be to see the target despite them hiding in it. Things like large cannons which ignore cover, mean in my mind, the...

Re: Cover, as managed in FUBAR, is bugged?

In my opinion cover is badly implemented in FUBAR, making green and veteran units equally able to shoot at targets in cover. Equally able to shoot yes. Equally able to score a hit, no. Greens have an expertise of 6+ Vets have an expertise of 4+ So a cover penalty of -1 (soft cover) means (if you us...

But by this literal interpretation, figures that are suppressed will always be able to fire the next time they activate successfully. That is how I read it and play it. The key is to keep the unit supressed. Like in real firefights, if the enemy is under fire and unable to return fire you don't sto...

I had this issue at a game I ran at a show. I have since decided that each vehicle must make a save. If it fails it rolls on the vehicle damage chart. Nicely done.

I have a question though:

Edged/improvised weapon +1

Would that not mean that if I used a broken bottle (improvised weapon) I would get a +1 to my roll whereas a trained soldier using a bayonet on his rifle would not get any bonus?

I think it means that they can only harm vehicles with no armour which can still save on a 6. Once you add armour to a vehicle its saves start at 5+ and go down the more the armour. Thus armoured vehicles are those with a save of 5+ or better. An armoured vehicle can be hit by small arms but not har...
