Some 15mm Sci-Fi FUBAR Supplements

Postby clkeagle » September 13th, 2011, 6:18 pm

I've written a few supplements using 15mm Sci-Fi miniatures. Originally I intended to make one of these for every major manufacturer, but abandoned it when I started creating my own individual unit cards. The original files are hosted on a side page of my blog: http://basementgamingbunker.blogspot.com/p/fubar-resources.html if anyone wants to try them out.

I will update that page in the future with some of the unit cards I've been using. If anyone wants to take over the manufacturer-specific supplements, I'd be happy to send you my draft files.

Very interested in these thanks , I have recently converted over to the joy of 15MM , although I love the 28mm model , these are lot easier on the pocket and I like the change in scale.

Just about to order some Felids from Kurasan .

I will be reading with interest.

As you can see from my nick , Im a Marine Player , but thats just an old affilation. 15 MM has my heart now.

I no longer play 40k (I honestly never liked the rules), but some of the fluff still entertains me. I've painted my Blue Moon Orion Republic infantry as Blood Angels... even gave them Brigade Models Eurofed APCs as Rhinos. It looks like a Blood Angels army if 40k was a space opera instead of a 90%-fantasy setting.

I also see you're a fan of Critical Mass. My ARC Fleet Light Recon will have a paint scheme based on Dark Angels Scouts, and my Augment Drop Troops are in Deathwing colors.

Same here. Have always loved the fluff. My son and I talked of starting a campaign where the Golden Throne was destroyed and it's remnants scattered. The faithful can hear the voice of the Emperor if they are strong (sort of like Luke hearing Ben's voice). Ultramar is one of the last bastions of the old Empire with Space Marines scouring the galaxy for bits of the Golden Throne (sort of like questing knights).

Hand to hand fighting. I especially didn't like hand to hand combat resolution nor the extra move for the victorious unit. IMHO it felt that the tactics of the game were played out on the army list and not the battlefield.

Now with that being said I will admit I didn't play long, I started gaming 40K in 2004 and stopped in 2006. As I've said I love the setting, and the models. I still play games with GW40K armies but I use Forge of War :D and now FUBAR 40K 8-) to conduct battles.

I did not like the amount of rolls.

Roll to hit = fine
roll str vs. toughness = eh, you saying your skin is more than a match for my chainsaw?
roll to save = errm if my armour stops the blow why have I already rolled to see if I can hurt you?
roll power shields to save = see above

All seemed a bit daft to me.

Hey! i know this is an old thread, but I've recently gotten into some of the Khurasan stuff and I found the Khurasan supplement listed above. However, I'm having trouble matching some of the factions listed in the supplement with what's on the Khurasan website. Have they changed since the supplement was made?
