Loose figures

Postby Pascal Tognon » November 11th, 2012, 9:44 pm

An objective bound Necron.
In the future to be part of a larger warband.

In stead of the rank and file feel,
this one is to be very dynamic,
a future warrior to climb the ladder?

Picked up a deathmark rifle,
grabbed some melee,
and is running the battlefield.

In the background two models in progress on the painting table.
Incubi to be part of an Eldar renegade team,
the other is a mercenary.

I' m bigger fan of the incubi and merc :)

Never really liked necrons, and IMHO the dynamic pose looks a bit odd on a necron

It does, doesn't it?

It depends on how often the particular Necron phased out.
The more he did, the less of the Necrontir remains in him.
The better a warrior he is, the less he phases,
the more of an individual he remains,
with choices to call his own...

But the Incubus is my favourite as well...
Winter is coming,
lots of time to paint,
a handful of models glued together and are waiting...

And other figures awaiting paint...

Postby Pascal Tognon » November 18th, 2012, 11:29 am

Three more for the winter evenings...

The first is an Eldar Renegade to accompany the Incubus,
the second a Knight Commander for the IG (who leads from the front),
and the third an Inquisitorial henchman.

One Eldar Pirate finished.
Started life as an Incubus,
but since GW doesn't 'aprove' of these Incubi anymore,
he might as well go into piracy

I have absolutely no idea as how t rotate the image
in the new Photobucket.
So I tried it by switching to the old Photobucket layout,
but there it wouldn't save after editing...

Hope you like it!

Necron Finished!

Also some Scarabs.
Not in Necron colours,
but repainted by a tinkerer who could use them for his own needs.
Replaced the AI and they obey him now.

And the Incubus.

Also rush-jobbed the mercenary.
I really don't like the figure.
It's a very early figure from Urban Mammoth,
or better said, a few company-names before Urban Mammoth.
They have quit a history of name changes...

I don't like how the figure turned out,
but needed to finish him quickly for the game on Tuesday...

He will be known as "Colour Blind Willy Lobster".
41207
Slug Rifle (2.18".0)
Vibro-Sword (2.0".0)

Thanks Griffith.
The Scarabs are going to eat Koen and Dominique on tuesday

Work in progress:
'Froggy Stardust'.
Painted him in the Oberonn last evening,
still have got to base and varnish him.

It is a Van Saar Juve.
This lad really is tiny,
about 2/3th the height of a Space Marine...

New Stats:
5.1.1.2.6
Laspistol, Combat Knife, Mo Farat Gene (1x)

A welcome 'happy of' after the Mercenary disaster...
The photographs don't do him justice however...

Two new figures:
A Knight Commander allied to House Eluvar of Hive Flaren,
commissioned to retrieve the wayward son, David Eluvar (David Stardust),
who fled as the Black Ships came for him...

Image

Image

And the second figure a Teacher in Psychic matters, formerly tasked to train David Eluvar.
He joins the Knight Commander in his quest.
The figure is a 40K Figure, maybe even a Rogue Trader-era figure, and is BADLY sculpted/cast.
Painted very drab and with an unhealthy complexion...

Varnishing and basing still to be done.

Still not enough daylight to make decent pics
for the stat cards, but here is th next figure,
to be part of a new Inquisitorial warband.

A Jokaero Weaponsmith, named Thierry d' Ook.
(a word play on 'The Hairy Duke')

The Jokaero is being based,
and the Squat had its face done.

Hello Griffit,

A Mantic Figure, Warpath series.
It is actually finished, apart from varnishing and basing,
but I do not have adequite (is that spelled correctly?) lighting
to make a decent pic. But hey, let's try...

The colours are MUCH richer than appearing here...
And there is much more contrast and detail...

And two figures finished!

Both will come in the retinue of Inquisitor 'Yama Warrismen ne Motto'
Ordo Xenos, Thorian.

Image Image

And of course,
the good inquisitor himself (not finished yet...)
The model is from Urban Mammoth.

And the good Inquisitor is finished!

Next up:
I thought an Arbites to accompany Yama Motto
Shotgun and Chainsword,
or, since he joins a Xenos Ordos Inquisitor,
a Gaus weapon and chain sword?

And the next figure is finished.
'Fat' Mack Mc Duff, a mercenary, formerly of the Cadian Guard.
The figure started life as a GW Chaos Cultist.
Not enough daylight for some decent pics though...

Another mercenary,
chainsword and autopistol.

Hello Crimson Fist,
it is done in Adobe Photoshop.
The background is an armour plate of a M-42 Duster,
with the colours somewhat muted and the surface detail enhanced.
The rest are colour swathes and filters.

Easy, but difficult to do without Photoshop.

Figure output is somewhat lower at the moment,
Big renovations in the house and a very interesting
1/48th helicopter project 8-)

And the promised next one:
the mercenary with the chainsword and laspistol.
Ended up with a more grimmer look than first anticipated,
so e probably will be a cultist or the sorts...

Kits used: Chaos cultist GW, spare bits...

Next up: the Gue'vesa, but those are in a different topic.
